Jammu, Dec. 8 -- More than 64 lakh pilgrims this year paid obeisance at the holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi nestled in the Trikuta Hills in Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Notably, due to the Pahalgam terror attack in the month of April and Operation Sindoor in May, the footfall to the cave shrine declined followed by Yatra suspension due to heavy rains that triggered landslides that claimed 34 lives.

However, this year, till the month of November, 64,14,106 pilgrims visited the cave shrine and offered prayers.

Official sources said that in the month of January, 5,69,164 pilgrims visited the cave shrine followed by 3,78,865 in February, 9,40,143 in March, 9,81,228 in April, 4,13,365 in May, 9,26,263 in June,...
