Hyderabad, Feb. 24 -- Telangana has emerged as one of the most targeted states in India, accounting for nearly 23 percent of all malware detections nationwide in 2024, with over 6.25 million incidents recorded, according to the state Cyber Threat Report 2025.
The report was released here on Monday by Seqrite, the enterprise arm of Quick Heal Technologies Limitrd., a global cybersecurity solutions leader, revealing a dramatic escalation in cyber threats across the state.
The report, prepared meticulously by researchers at Seqrite Labs, India's largest malware analysis center, highlights a concerning rise in malware, ransomware, and hacktivist activities targeting key sectors such as healthcare, education, and government institutions.
