Vijayawada, Dec. 10 -- Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V Anitha on Wednesday said over 6 lakh devotees are expected to throng the famous Kanaka Durga temple, located atop the Indrakeeladri hill here, to relinquish Bhavani deeksha.
The Home Minister, accompanied by Police Commissioner SV Rajasekhar Babu and temple officials, inspected the arrangements being made for the Bhavani Deeksha viramana programme on the temple premises here.
Talking to the media, she said the Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment would begin on December 11 and conclude with Maha Poornahuthi on December 15. During the five days, over six lakh devotees throng the temple to relinquish Bhavani Deeksha.
