Patna, Feb. 26 -- Leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav on Wednesday accused the Narendra Modi government of depriving 50,000 youths from the scheduled caste, schedule tribe, backward and extremely backward communities of government jobs in the state, by "deliberately" not including the increased reservation quota of 65% in the Ninth Schedule.
Yadav said during the short 17-month rule of the Grand Alliance in the state from August 2022 to January 2024 when his Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was part of the government, the job reservation quota for scheduled caste, schedule tribe, backward and extremely backward community aspirants was raised from 49% to 65%.
