Srinagar, April 29 -- More than 50 Pakistani nationals who were staying in Kashmir were deported on Tuesday, officials said.

The deportation took place in compliance with an order by the Union Home Ministry that directed all Pakistani nationals to leave the country.

Those deported included women from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir who married to former Kashmiri militants who returned over a decade ago under a government rehabilitation scheme.

Those deported included men and women from several districts of the valley.
