Dharamshala, Oct. 17 -- A massive rally was organised today under the banner of the Joint Struggle Committee, in which 18 different pensioners' organisations participated. The rally was led by Committee President Suresh Thakur.
Starting from the Shaheed Smarak Park, the rally proceeded to the Kachhari Bus Stop, after which a delegation led by Thakur submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
Krishen Ji Raina, President of the Police Pensioners' Welfare Association, Kangra District, told UNI that around 200 to 215 retired police personnel actively participated in the event. He said that in total, the rally saw an impressive turnout of 4,000 to 5,000 pensioners from various organisations.
