Nagpur, Jan. 5 -- More than 300 doctors and medical students from across the country have sought psychological support through the Federation of All India Medical Association's (FAIMA) Mental Health Helpline in the four months since its launch, highlighting increasing mental health concerns within the medical fraternity, officials said.

FAIMA officials said the helpline, which provides free and confidential tele-counselling, has received calls primarily related to examination stress, anxiety over postgraduate and super-speciality entrance tests, work pressure and personal issues.

Young doctors and medical students accounted for a significant proportion of callers.
