Srinagar, Oct. 28 -- Jammu and Kashmir has over 3.6 lakh educated unemployed youth registered with the employment department as of the end of September 2025, with theKashmir division accounting for the majority of the jobless youth, official data revealed.
According to the figures placed by the J&K government in Assembly, a total of 3,61,146 educated unemployed youth are registered across the union Territory - 2,08,659 in Kashmir division and 1,52,487 in Jammu division.
In Kashmir, Anantnag district has recorded the highest number of unemployed educated youth at 32,298, followed by Pulwama with 28,671 and Srinagar with 23,826. Budgam and Kulgam districts have 16,659 and 21,446 unemployed youth respectively, while the lowest figure in the ...
