Hyderabad, Dec. 19 -- More than 2.80 lakh young men and women from over 850 educational institutions across Telangana participated in a massive online cancer awareness programme jointly organised by Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (BIACH&RI) and the Telangana Academy of Skill & Knowledge (TASK) on Friday.
The participants took a special pledge on cancer prevention, committing themselves to create awareness and play an active role in preventing the spread of cancer by educating others. The programme, conducted online at 11 am, marked one of the largest youth-driven cancer awareness initiatives in the state.
