Chandigarh, Jan. 6 -- More than 19 kg of heroin has been seized in Amritsar in a joint operation by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and the Border Security Force (BSF), leading to the arrest of four persons, including a key operator of the supply chain, officials said on Tuesday.
The recovery was made in the Bhindi Aulakh area of the Ajnala sector following specific intelligence inputs. Acting on the tip-off, teams of the ANTF Border Range coordinated with the BSF and carried out a carefully planned operation, during which 19.980 kg of heroin was recovered.
