Varanasi, Feb. 8 -- A meeting was held at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple premises on Saturday in anticipation of over 1.5 million devotees expected to visit the temple on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri (February 15). District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar, Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of the temple trust Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal stated that a detailed plan has been prepared to ensure smooth darshan (viewing of the deity) considering the possibility of a large crowd on Mahashivratri.
