New Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug. 6 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday asserted that the state government's fight for the Backward Classes (BC) Bill will continue until it is passed and approved by the President.
Speaking to the media during the BC dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, Revanth Reddy said the state had conducted a caste census to set an example for the country, recalling that Rahul Gandhi had demanded a nationwide caste census during his Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The Chief Minister said the Telangana Assembly had already passed a bill providing 42 per cent reservation for BCs in education, jobs, and politics, and the legislation was sent to the President for approval.
