Bhubaneswar, Dec. 6 -- The Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS) will soon launch dedicated courses in pain medicine, Vice-Chancellor Dr Manas Ranjan Sahoo announced on Saturday.

Speaking at the inauguration of the first-ever Annual Odisha State Pain Conference at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Sahoo highlighted the vital role of anaesthesiologists in ensuring surgical success.

"Behind every successful surgeon, there is a good anaesthesiologist," he said, emphasizing that effective pain management is essential for positive surgical outcomes.
