Oscar winning US actor Gene Hackman found dead at home
Santa Fe, Feb. 27 -- Oscar winning actor Gene Hackman, known for his commanding performances and unparalleled versatility, was found dead along with his wife Betsy Arakawa and pet dog at their residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office confirmed the tragic news on February 26, stating, "this is an active investigation - however, at this time we do not believe that foul play was a factor." Hackman was 95 years old, while his wife, a renowned classical pianist, was 63.
