Los Angeles, April 23 -- Acclaimed Hollywood producer and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein's rape and sexual assault retrial is set to begin in a Manhattan courtroom.

This comes five years after his previous 2020 New York City sex crimes trial, which saw the Oscar winning producer being convicted to 23-years in prison, as per Deadline.

Marking his third trial in five years, the once-successful-now-disgraced producer was accused of sexually abusing a former television production assistant, an aspiring actress and an unnamed woman. During the first week of the trial, 12 jurors - seven women and five men - were chosen to weigh Weinstein's fate.
