Dharamshala, Feb. 1 -- Additional District Magistrate Shilpi Bakta said that a coordinated and sustained campaign involving the district administration, police, concerned departments, NGOs, and the public is essential to prevent drug abuse in Kangra district.
She was chairing a meeting of the District Level Coordination Committee of the National Narco Coordination Portal (NCORD) at the NIC auditorium here on Saturday.
The ADM stressed the need for a dedicated public awareness drive and directed departments and NGOs to develop targeted awareness material, especially for youth and addicts. She also ordered regular inspections of private drug de-addiction and rehabilitation centres.
