Vijayawada, May 30 -- The Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP objected to the allocation of temple lands without auctions by the Chandrababu Naidu headed government.

YSRCP senior leader and former MLA Malladi Vishnu strongly objected to the TDP-led coalition government's move to allocate temple lands without transparent public auctions, as outlined in G.O. Ms. No. 139, issued on May 2, 2025.

In a statement there on Friday, Malladi Vishnu described the order, which amends the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Immovable Properties and Other Rights (Other than Agricultural Lands) Leases and Licenses Rules, 2003, as a "sinister attempt" to plunder the sacred assets of Andhra Pradesh's temples, whic...
