Chandigarh, March 8 -- The opposition parties in Punjab have launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's final budget, labeling it a deceptive document that fails to address the state's critical financial and social challenges.
Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring characterized the budget as the culmination of a series of falsehoods propagated by the AAP over the last four years. Highlighting a deepening fiscal crisis, Warring pointed out that the state's total debt has surged to approximately Rs 4.17 lakh crore, which is nearly 160 per cent of the total budget allocation of Rs 2.60 lakh crore.
