New Delhi, April 16 -- A sharp confrontation unfolded in Parliament on Thursday as the Congress and its allies intensified their attack on the government over the proposed delimitation framework, accusing it of undermining democratic principles and delaying the implementation of women's reservation.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said the Opposition would firmly resist what he described as an attempt to push through "flawed delimitation bills disguised as Women's Reservation." He asserted, "The Opposition will not allow Parliament to be hijacked. We stand united and will fight this devious assault on our Democracy with all our strength," signalling a coordinated pushback from opposition parties during the ongoing session.
