Mumbai, Oct. 31 -- Political parties across the opposition spectrum have announced a plan to stage a significant public demonstration tomorrow, to protest what they describe as irregularities in voter lists and electoral malpractices during the Maharashtra assembly elections last year.
The decision to hold the demonstration follows persistent objections raised by opposition leaders regarding alleged fraudulent voter registrations and manipulation of voting records, which they contend have not received adequate attention from the Election Commission.
