Opposition parties in Tripura demand action against TIPRA Motha leader for ethnic post
Agartala, Aug. 8 -- A Facebook post of TIPRA Motha party leader David Murasing, which is an ally of BJP in Tripura government, has triggered a controversy in political circles and sparked tension in areas where people from different ethnic backgrounds live together.
David, who is currently heading to Delhi on foot to press for the demand of Greater Tipraland, posted on Facebook that the Bengali community in Tripura is accused of repeatedly committing violence, exploitation, and discrimination against the Tiprasa (tribal) people.
He claimed that Tiprasa men have never looked at Bengali women, while Bengali men are said to have committed rape and murder against Tiprasa women. He also said that the Tiprasa people have never opposed the demands...
