Chandigarh, Feb. 25 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday rejected the Opposition's allegations regarding recruitments conducted by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) and the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), asserting that both bodies are functioning independently and transparently under the present dispensation.
Replying to an adjournment motion brought by Congress during the Budget Session of the Vidhan Sabha here, Saini said the Opposition's claims reflected "frustration and political desperation rather than facts."He said the HPSC and HSSC are autonomous constitutional bodies and recruitments are being carried out strictly on merit without any external interference.
