Mumbai, Oct. 15 -- A united opposition delegation comprising senior leaders from the Shiv Sena (UBT), MNS, NCP (Sharad Pawar group) and Congress met Maharashtra's Chief Electoral Officer S. Chockalingam today to register strong objections over alleged discrepancies in voter lists and other electoral irregularities ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
The high-profile team included Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray and Balasaheb Thorat, who jointly sought corrective action on widespread errors in inclusion, deletion, and duplication of names within the electoral rolls.
