Patna, May 1 -- JD(U) on Thursday said opposition parties were falsely and forcibly trying to take credit of caste census while in reality, it was Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who had shown the way by conducting caste census in the state and Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to conduct it at the National level.
Senior JD(U) leader and Bihar Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary told media persons here that Kumar had been raising demand for caste census since long. In Bihar, caste census was successfully carried out under leadership of Kumar and it formed the basis to go for national level caste census, he added.
