Kolkata, June 25 -- The opposition Congress and the CPI(M) legislators for the second day today walked out of the assembly together and jointly boycotting the session over the controversial "cut money" issue and demanded setting up an inquiry commission to probe the matter.

The MLAs of the CPI(M) and Congress did the same on Monday by jointly boycotting the sessions with placards on hand "cut money meant CM", a reference to recently stated statement of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee warning against taking money for providing work orders of various schemes.

The issue has taken over the state with clashes being reported demanding return of "cut money" and arrests for alleged bribery.
