Bhubaneswar, March 20 -- Both the Congress and the BJD on Thursday created a ruckus inside the Odisha Assembly, forcing Speaker Surama Padhy to adjourn the House thrice during the pre-lunch and post-lunch sessions.

Agitated Congress members stalled the Question Hour in the Assembly, protesting against the rising atrocities against women and demanding better safety measures for women in the state.

The House witnessed chaos as Opposition Congress members stormed into the well of the House during Question Hour, raised slogans, and blew whistles in support of their demands.
