Bhopal, Dec. 3 -- The Opposition created a ruckus post-lunch in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today, the second day of the Winter Session, over the issue of assault and arson at Sehore district's Vellore Institute of Technology.
The matter was raised by Dinesh Jain Boss (principal-opposition Congress) through the medium of a calling attention notice.
Responding to the member, Higher Education Minister Indar Singh Parmar said that a show-cause notice had been issued to the institution.
"Four thousand students taking to the streets is a grave issue. The dispensation shall take stringent action against the guilty," he underlined.
The Opposition called for a magisterial inquiry and withdrawal of cases registered against pupils.
