San Francisco, Sept. 9 -- OpenAI -- the tech giant behind popular generative AI ChatGPT -- CEO Sam Altman has warned that the growing sophistication of bots is making it increasingly difficult to tell whether social media posts are written by humans or generated by Artificial Intelligence.
Altman's comment followed his own experience browsing discussions in the r/Claudecode subreddit, where users were praising OpenAI's Codex programming service. The discussions, he said, left him questioning whether they were genuine.
"I have had the strangest experience reading this: I assume it's all fake/bots, even though in this case I know Codex growth is really strong and the trend here is real," Altman wrote on X.
