Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aug. 30 -- In a big boost to atmanirbharta (self-reliance) in the weapon manufacturing sector, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated a defence equipment and drone manufacturing unit and an aircraft engine and defence aerospace test facility in UP's Gautam Buddha Nagar. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on the occasion.
CM Yogi in his address said Uttar Pradesh was playing a crucial role in the defence manufacturig sector. He said Noida would soon emerge as a defence hub.
He said Operation Sindoor ushered in a new phase of war, which made the world realize India's power. "It has also inspired us to face future challenges".
