Lucknow, Sept. 2 -- Congress MP from Barabanki Tanuj Punia today strongly condemned the Yogi Adityanath government following a brutal police lathi charge on students of Ram Swaroop Memorial University in Barabanki.
"Only weak governments try to silence the truth with batons. This barbaric action against peacefully protesting students reflects the autocratic mindset of the current regime. It is shameful, undemocratic, and a complete violation of constitutional values," Punia said while attacking the government.
Punia made the statement while visiting injured students at Lucknow Medical College, assuring them of full support from the Congress Party and a commitment to fight for justice on their behalf.
