Shimla, Aug. 19 -- The Himachal government's drive to reduce the subsidy burden on the state exchequer has received lukewarm response from well-off sections as only 15 people, which include CM, Dy CM, Ministers and ruling MLA including Speaker and Dy Speaker, have given up such a relief. Sharing this information during question hour in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that 15 individuals, including ministers, Congress MLAs, and the Speaker, have voluntarily given up the state-provided electricity subsidy. He urged Opposition MLAs to follow suit and help ease the financial burden on the government.
