Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh), Jan. 6 -- Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has initiated coordination with international well-control specialists and begun mobilisation planning to support advanced well-control operations following a gas leak that triggered a fire at one of its wells in Andhra Pradesh's Dr B R Ambedkar Konaseema district.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at the Mori-5 well, operated by ONGC's production contractor Deep Industries Ltd as part of production enhancement operations, after a gas pipeline leakage led to a fire.
In a statement issued on Monday night, ONGC said the situation at the site is under control, with no injuries or loss of life reported.
