Kolkata, Feb. 17 -- Accusing the Election Commission of India of "double standards" in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday warned that the poll panel was acting as a "capture commission" and vowed that her government would resist any attempt to undermine democratic rights.
She also questioned why documents accepted in Bihar were being rejected in Bengal.
Addressing a press conference at the state secretariat Nabanna, Banerjee asked why documents accepted as valid during the SIR process in Bihar were being rejected in West Bengal.
