Jalgaon, Aug. 1 -- One passenger was killed and 50 others were injured after a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus overturned near Erandol on the Bhadgaon-Erandol road in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district today.



According to police, the MSRTC bus of Erandol Bus Depot was coming from Bhadgaon to Erandol when it fell into a 15-20 ft deep gorge near the Anjaani dam, about one km from Erandol. The bus fell into the deep drain and the passengers were rescued through the rear and front windows. However, one passenger died on the spot in this accident, and 50 were injured, out of which 15 suffered serious injuries and were immediately shifted to the Government Medical College in Jalgaon for treatment.
