Nagpur, Jan. 2 -- A 32-year-old man lost his life and seven others sustained serious injuries after their car overturned in Nagpur district of Maharashtra in the early hours of Friday, police said.
The incident took place around 1 am near a petrol pump at Borgaon village when the speeding vehicle, carrying a group returning from a New Year celebration, met with the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Nikhil Ravindra Gudadhe, a resident of Jabalpur in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh.
Police said the group had attended a party at a resort in Dhapewada on the outskirts of Nagpur city on January 1 and were on their way back when the mishap occurred.
