Mumbai, Aug. 15 -- A 36-year-old woman died in a fire that erupted on the 22nd floor of the Lodha Amara building in Kolshet area of neighbouring Thane city late on Thursday night. While 375 residents were safely evacuated from the residential tower, the incident caused significant panic among occupants.
Emergency services, including the Thane Disaster Management Team, four fire engines, and local police, responded immediately upon receiving the alert and launched a large-scale rescue operation.
Yasin Tadvi, Head of the Disaster Management Team, confirmed that all affected individuals were shifted to safety in time.
