Pilibhit, Oct. 22 -- An 18-year-old girl died and over 20 others were injured when a bus carrying pilgrims overturned and fell into a ditch on the Bareilly-Haridwar highway in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh today, police said.
The bus, which was returning from a pilgrimage tour of religious sites, including Nanakmatta in Uttarakhand, was en route to Bareilly when it lost control and overturned near the villages of Nisra and Sardar Nagar under Jehanabad police station's direction around 3-20 am.
The deceased has been identified as Durga, a resident of Madheenath Chaupala in Bareilly, confirmed Dr Saurabh from the Jehanabad Community Health Centre (CHC), where she was rushed after the accident.
