Mathura, Dec. 29 -- One person was killed and another critically injured after unidentified assailants opened fire on two brothers standing outside their home in Mathura's Jaint police station area, police said on Monday.
The incident is reportedly linked to an old rivalry stemming from village panchayat elections.
According to the police, the attack took place in Nagla Neta village late Sunday evening. The victims were identified as Radha Krishna (20) and his elder brother Anil (23).
Radha Krishna died during treatment at the district hospital, while Anil is undergoing medical care, and his condition remains serious.
