Mumbai, Oct. 20 -- One person died and three others sustained burns after a fire swept through a slum area at Machhimar Nagar, Cuffe Parade of south Mumbai early today.
The fire was doused in an hour and the injured were admitted to governent-run St George Hospital.
According to information received from the BMC's Disaster Management Cell, the incident occurred around 4 am in a slum area and chawl located on Captain Prakash Pethe Marg.
The blaze was confined to electric wiring, electrical installations, three electric vehicle batteries, and household articles.
