Patna, Aug. 1 -- Special Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) court today convicted one person in a case related to fake Indian currency here.

The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on August 4.

The special judge Abhijit Kumar, after concluding the trial found Manish Kumar, a resident of Bhainsmara village under Tekari police station in Gayaji district, guilty under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As it is the ATS had arrested five persons near Paharpur railway station in Gayaji district based on a tip-off and recovered fake Indian currency worth several lakhs.

In this case four accused have already been convicted and sentenced, while Manish Kumar absconded on the day the verdict was delivered. He was later arrested by the ATS...
