Imphal, June 25 -- The Child Welfare Committee in Manipur's Kakching district in collaboration with the Child Protection Unit launched a "One Child One Plant" campaign along with a kids' meet at Kakching Garden today.
The event was graced by Keisham Pradipkumar, Chairperson of the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights, as the Chief Guest
The speakers stated that Manipur has witnessed an increase in floods and extreme weather conditions over the past two years, largely due to the loss of green cover. He further emphasised the need for collective environmental responsibility.
