One arrested for issuing death threat to Chirag Paswan
Samastipur, July 13 -- A youth was arrested from Begusarai district for allegedly issuing a death threat to Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) National President Chirag Paswan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime), Samastipur, Durgesh Deepak said here today that Chirag Paswan received a death threat via social media on July 11.
Based on technical investigation, police identified the accused as Mohammad Meraj, a resident of Bheerha village in Samastipur district.
Following this, a police team conducted a raid at a location in Teghra, Begusarai, and arrested Mohammad Meraj.
The mobile phone used to send the alleged death threat to Chirag Paswan was also recovered during the raid.
