Chennai, March 8 -- Accusing the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu of failing to ensure
the security of women, actor-politician and Founder of the nascent Tamilaga Vettri
Kazhagam (TVK) on the occasion of International Women's Day (IWD) called for
change in 2026 (when Assembly elections will be held).
In a video address to women to mark the IWD, he slammed the DMK government
and said it has deceived the people.
Calling upon women to take a pledge on the occasion of Women's Day, he urged
everyone to unite and bring about a change in the 2026 elections.
"Greetings to all. Today is Women's Day. My heartfelt wishes to all the mothers,
sisters, daughters and friends across Tamil Nadu", he said.
