Srinagar, Dec. 5 -- National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah on Friday urged party workers to steer clear of internal disagreements and concentrate on strengthening the organization ahead of the local body elections.

Addressing party functionaries on the 120th birth anniversary of NC founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, the former chief minister said frequent public statements by party workers were harmful for the organization.

"Do not issue statements. Instead, focus on strengthening the party. Everyone is speaking, but no one is trying to understand the issues," he told workers.
