Chandigarh, Aug. 9 -- In a significant move to empower women, Punjab's Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur, unveiled a series of initiatives for Anganwadi workers and helpers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

The state government has promoted 435 Anganwadi helpers to the position of Anganwadi workers, marking a key step toward enhancing their career prospects.

Dr. Kaur revealed that Anganwadi helpers who have passed Class 10 and completed over 10 years of service will soon be eligible for promotion to worker roles, with departmental directives already issued to facilitate the process.
