Chandigarh, April 7 -- National General Secretary of the BJP Tarun Chugh on Monday condemned what he called "blatant misuse" of public funds by the AAP government in Punjab to promote the state ruling party's top guns and "political discards of Delhi" Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the state.

Taking strong exception to the so-called "Sikhya Kranti" programme, Chugh said that if media reports are to be believed, "a deeply troubling scandal" is unfolding, with over Rs 20 crore being spent on inauguration plaques featuring Kejriwal and Sisodia, and on ceremonies across more than 10,000 schools for already completed or minor renovation works.
