Srinagar, Dec. 15 -- A day after an NC lawmaker lodged a complaint against a sub-divisional magistrate in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, alleging humiliation and disrespect, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said it was the responsibility of every officer to treat elected representatives with due respect.
"The elected representative does not come from the sky. People elect him and send him (to the Assembly). It is the responsibility of the administration to deal with elected representatives with respect," Omar told reporters in Srinagar when asked about the controversy.
