Srinagar, Oct. 14 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that despite a series of setbacks this year - including the Pahalgam attack, tensions between India and Pakistan war, and the widespread damage caused by heavy rains - there remains a ray of hope for Jammu and Kashmir.
"It is no secret that this year has been difficult for us (Jammu & Kashmir). First, the attack on Pahalgam, then the war between the two countries, and then the damage caused by the rains in July, August, and September. As a result, the financial situation of Jammu and Kashmir is very bad," Omar told reporters on the sidelines of a FICCI National Executive Committee meeting in Srinagar.
Despite the financial strain, Omar said the situation was not entirely bleak....
