Kolkata, July 10 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed optimism about the revival of tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, over two months after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
Speaking at a travel and tourism event in Kolkata, Abdullah assured that the situation in J&K has significantly improved and extended a heartfelt invitation to the people of West Bengal to visit the region.
"2025 has not been an easy year for us. The year can be divided into two parts - before and after the Pahalgam attack. But we all see that tourism is bouncing back in J&K. There is a message of hope," Abdullah said.
