Amman (Jordan), March 31 -- Olympian Deepak Punia and Udit clinched silver medals in their respective weight categories as India wrapped up its campaign at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2025 with a total of 10 medals.

Punia, who competed in the men's freestyle 92kg category, lost to Iran's Amir Hossein Firouzpour in the final via technical superiority, with a 10-0 scoreline. Firouzpour, a two-time defending champion, dominated the bout to secure the gold. This marked Punia's fifth medal at the continental championships, including three silvers and two bronzes. Notably, his previous medals came in the 86kg category.
